Whispering Pines Cremation Garden
The first cremation garden in northwest Pennsylvania
Reflecting the serenity of neighboring Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, Whispering Pines' landscape includes a pond with a gentle fountain spray in the center, mature trees, a small stream and lovely gardens.
Cremation is simply a choice that reflects the preference of the deceased and family. For some people, cremation is a family burial tradition. For others it is a way in which they ensure their return to earth.
Remembering your loves ones
Whispering Pines is a lovely place of remembrance where loved ones can visit. Garden walkways wind through beautiful natural settings designed for placement of cremated remains. Many of the strong, tall trees throughout the garden have distinctive memorial markers encircling their bases.
More places of rest include quiet granite niches, an ossuary memorial wall, and even special memorial stones crafted to hold the cremated remains of two people.
Whispering Pines is owned and managed by Burton Funeral Homes, so you are assured of the highest level of service and grounds maintenance.

Dear Mark –
I want to thank you especially and also Patty and Terry. You were my rock during the most devastating time of my life. Every day I miss mom and dad so much. I still think it is Dad calling when the phone rings.
Took a beautiful wreath to the cemetery and saw the headstone for the first time. I cried. Now they are together forever. Again thank you so much.

Dear Bill and Staff
Thank you for your guidance in planning the funeral for my mother.
Everything was done with care and respect.
The service in your chapel and the Mass at St. Julia were very comforting to our family.

Not many people today are appreciated for the jobs they do. It has taken me this long but wanted to let you all know I appreciate you taking care of my dog and spelling his names correctly.
He was truly a service animal but will never get the full recognition he deserved for it.
Thank you for all you do.

Peter and Karen
We were impressed by our professionalism and kindness. Harry Weiner is a friend but he really helped my younger brother who was struggling after the funeral was over. I just wanted to say how pleased we were with Burton Funeral Home. It’s a hard time and it’s nice to know that your loved ones funeral is in capable hands. Thank you.

“Bill helped pre-arrange and ultimately conduct the funeral. His patience, thoughtfulness – did I say a lot of patience? I got exactly the sendoff I wanted for my mom. Bill made it an extremely easy wonderful experience!” - Karen

Dear Kate –
I just wanted to thank you for everything you did to make our family comfortable from our first meeting all the way through the funeral service.
My mother would have been very happy!
While any death is difficult, an unexpected death is especially hard because there are no good-byes.
It was also a comfort to me that I knew you Kate! You are truly remarkable!
Dear Peter –
My family and I want to thank you for making such a difficult time during our loved one’s death as easy as possible for us.
We appreciated all your ideas and your choices from the clergy to the guitarist. Your entire funeral home staff was so pleasant and helpful.
All the people who attended the services told us how wonderful it was.
Thank you for everything you did for our family.
Sincerely – Carol
