Yvonne Whipple

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yvonne Whipple on October 24, 2023, at the age of 61. Yvonne was the daughter of the late Casper and Mattie Clark, of Erie, PA. Yvonne was born in Utica, New York, on April 16, 1962, and later raised in Erie for the remainder of her life.

Yvonne worked as a CNA in her earlier years of life at many locations, and continued on with her loving and caring heart of gold retiring from The Community Shelter Services as a family counselor.

Yvonne was a huge Buffalo Bills football fan. She enjoyed bingo in her earlier years of life with her mother, Mattie, at Saint Benedict Center. She enjoyed watching her favorite old western TV series in her free time and spending late evenings listening to her favorite artists, Aretha Franklin and The Jackson 5. She enjoyed spending a lot of her spare time shopping and meal dates with her friends. Yvonne was very big on the family gatherings at her home and enjoyed the company on the holidays with her cooking and baking huge meals for the family.

Yvonne was also very involved and dedicated to her Jehovah Witness groups at the Kingdom Hall Church. We would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Denise. The family really appreciates you and all the visits you made with Yvonne.

Yvonne will leave to cherish her in memory, a daughter/niece, Sebasia; her siblings, Kim, Kenneth and Arnold (wife Edith); her nieces, Serenity, Amber and Aileen; special nephew, Sebastian (wife Brittany), nephews, Sheldon, Lajon and Laron; her great nephews, Daj’Zhier, Day’Veion and Da’Vontae; her great niece, Ki’Mora and very special grandson, Jhalil.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10^th Street, on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow in Erie Cemetery.
