Winnie S. (Smillie) Forestiere, age 72 passed away on Tuesday July 1, 2025 at Twinbrook Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Muskegon, MI on November 16, 1952 to the late Robert and Winifred Boyd Smillie.
Winnie graduated from Academy High School and worked as a waitress throughout the Erie area. She was a veteran of the US Army.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Forestiere.
Winnie is survived by her sister, Nancy Smillie of Erie; brothers, Robert Smillie of Erie and Martin Smillie of Pittsburgh; niece, Roberta Knafler of Erie and nephews, Timothy Smillie and Christopher Knafler, both of Erie.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc., Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross rd., Erie, PA 16510.
