William Ernest Craft, age 63 of Greene Township, passed away unexpectedly on May 29th, 2025 at UPMC Hamot hospital surrounded by family. He was born December 18, 1961, the youngest of six children to the late John H. Sr. and Dorothy Benson Craft.
A lifelong resident of Greene Township, Bill graduated from Seneca High School in 1979. He went on to build a proud 35-year career in heavy highway construction with Mayer Bros., where he was a dedicated member of the Laborers’ Union. Known for his strong work ethic and steady presence, Bill was respected by colleagues and friends alike.
Bill had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing or tending to his garden, he found peace and purpose in nature. He especially cherished the companionship of his four-legged friend, Bo, whom he adopted from the ANNA Shelter. Their bond was one of true loyalty and love.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Beckwith and his sister-in-law, Susan Craft.
Bill leaves behind his brothers, John Craft Jr., Charles Craft (Terri), Norman Craft (Raeann) and his sister, Sarah Brown, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom will miss their Little Brother and Uncle Billy and forever carry his memory.
The family suggests donations be made to the ANNA Shelter in honor of Bill and his love for animals.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc., Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Rd., Erie, PA 16510.
