William Cohen

William Cohen, age 91, of Erie, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Regency at South Shore. He was born in New Haven, CT on May 30, 1934 to the late Samuel and Ida Cohen.

Bill Cohen thought that he came to Erie from his home in New Haven, CT to pursue his theatrical career. Actually, he came to Erie to find the one woman who would make his life complete. After a three year courtship, he convinced Lillian Egnot to become Lillian Egnot Cohen. They enjoyed fifty-two years together until Lillian lost her ten year battle with ovarian cancer. Cohen was convinced that his greatest contribution to the world was fathering their two children Samuel David and Lynne Ellen, who both live in New York City.
