William “Bill” Gerard Dzuricky, age 70, of Erie, Pennsylvania died peacefully at home on April 29, 2026, after a short but vicious battle with cancer.
Born in Erie in 1956, Bill was part of a large loving family. He attended Holy Family School and Tech Memorial. A talented artist, he then pursued some classwork at Columbus College of Art and Design. Life had other plans for the budding artist, and Bill returned to Erie to raise his family. He never lost that love of art and used his skills for many years to enrich the lives of others.
While working for General Electric, Bill continued to enjoy life with friends and family. Avidly fishing, shooting a game of pool, or kicking back at a fire on the beach with great music, Bill could always he found with those he loved and ready with a joke to tell. With skilled hands that could fix anything and a willing heart, Bill generously gave his time and a helping hand to anyone who asked. A long-time member of the Slovak National Club, Bill held one position or another on the Board of Directors for the last 40 years.
After retiring from GE, Bill continued to find joy in life. He loved making the rounds at local clubs and polishing his golden horseshoe. His greatest joy was spending summers at the Boathouse on Lake Erie with his beloved wife and dog watching the sun rise and set and the storms roll in.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Marie and Andrew Dzuricky. He is survived by his wife, Natalie Lucas, 3 children: Heather, Jessica, and Andrew, 1 step son: Ryan, 4 grandchildren, 5 siblings: Bob, Jim, Steve, Jerry and Sue and cousins too numerous to list.
Friends are invited to call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 W 10th Street, on Tuesday May 5, 2026, from 5 pm until a 7 pm brief memorial service. As Bill requested, a larger Celebration of his Life will occur at the Boathouse at a future date.
The family requests that donations in Bill’s name be made to local organizations, with The ANNA Shelter and The Emmaus Soup Kitchen, being among Bill’s favorites.
