Victor John Darin

Victor John Darin, age 75, of Lake City, passed away on Friday April 17, 2026, at Saint Vincent Hospital.

He was born in Garfield Heights, OH on May 28, 1950, a son of the late Victor and Irene (Gerea) Darin

Victor graduated from Nordonia High School in 1968 and went on to study at Ohio State University. He worked as a jeweler for many years at Gordon’s Jewler in Cleveland and Erie and then as a driver for Modern Industries until his retirement. He was a fan of all the Cleveland sports teams, the Browns, the Guardians and the Cavaliers. He enjoyed watching the games with his son. He also had a love of music, even working at a radio station in the 1970’s.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Phil DiDionsio.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Antoinette Scutella Darin; son, Jason Darin; grandson, Aiden Hall; sisters, Christine (Frank) Lukehart and Denise Giunto and two additional siblings; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo DiDionsio and JoAnn (Jack) Shertzer; brother-in-law, Anthoney Scutella; as well as many nieces and nephews and his little buddy, his cat Beaver.

Services were held at the convenience of the family and arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street E, Girard. Burial was in Girard Cemetery.
