Vera Parker

Vera Parker was an extraordinary woman. At 99 years of age, on April 20, 2025, she calmly and quietly decided to fly to heaven on the wings of the risen Christ.

She was born in Erie on March 3, 1926, a daughter of the late Jonas and Charlotte Yarrington Wolfram.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellsworth Parker, and three of her children, Ellsworth Junior (Al, EJ), Susan (Barb) and Clarence (Cheyenne).

She is survived by seven children, Harriet (Michael) Curran, Millicent Longstreth, Jonas (Brenda) Parker, Mark (Eileen) Parker, Vera (Robert) Stroud, Vicki (Michael) Kohler and Ruth Parker; and eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She loved spending time with her family above all else. Her family cherishes memories of Vera and her husband Ellsworth, dancing in the kitchen, playing cribbage and was often found honing her game playing skills in the middle of the night. She loved playing video games with her grandchildren, sled riding with the grandkids in the backyard. If there was fun and laughter to be found, she was sure to find it even in the darkest of times. She is lovingly remembered as someone who always had a smile for everyone and left everyone with a smile of their own. She will surely be missed but will always be in our hearts and in our minds. We love you mom!
