Ursula Rossow, age 92, of Fairview, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

She was born on September 23, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Alfred and Dora (Wache) Demuth. Before World War II, as a child, Ursula moved with her family to Germany for a period of time. During the heat of the war, her mother courageously left for Switzerland with her four children. Ursula eventually returned to the United States and grew up in the Milwaukee area. She began working in retail shortly before meeting the love of her life, Richard.

Ursula spent the majority of her life raising her family and taking care of her household. Fluent in German, she was also deeply musical and artistic. She shared her talents by teaching guitar to students both young and old. Ursula volunteered her time at local senior centers, where she taught square dancing and played guitar for the residents. She was a talented painter, a true artist, and an avid gardener. In her quiet time, Ursula spent countless hours knitting beautiful baby bonnets to comfort newborns.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Thea and Norma, and her brother, Gunther.

Ursula is survived by her loving husband of almost 67 years, Richard “Dick” Rossow; her daughter, Debbie (Kevin); her son, David (Samantha); her grandsons, Keith Gregg (Denise Klemm) and Eric Gregg; and her great-grandson, Jase Gregg.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. E., Girard, PA, for family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to - Support Pediatric Care at Saint Vincent Hospital, 232 West 25th Street, Erie, PA 16544, in honor of Ursula’s dedicated years of knitting for the babies.
