Trina J. McCloud, “Peaches”, age 59, of Erie, PA, gained her wings on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. She passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH, after a lengthy illness.
Trina was born on August 16, 1965, in Erie, a daughter of the late Johnny McCloud and Rev. Johnnie Jenkins McCloud.
Trina was a graduate of East High School and attended Strong Vincent High School. Trina studied at Healthcare Venture Alliance for her CNA and studied at J. H. Thompson Academies for Medical Secretary/Computer Word-Processing Specialist. Trina worked at K-Mart and was a toy department manager, Erie Homes for Children & Adults third shift Aide/Team Leader and was a CNA at Soldiers' and Sailors' Home.
She was an amazing mother, loving, caring, supportive, protective, hardworking, understanding & a strong Godly woman. She loved singing, dancing, cooking, shopping and love to go to BINGO, getting her hair braided, Gospel music, going to Church, Whitney Houston, reading her Bible and loved the Lord and being with her family. She and Stewart Hyche brought her family into the church. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and loved singing in the Church choir.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death, by her brother, Billy McCloud and her sister, Veatrice Morganfield.
She leaves behind to cherish her in memory, her children, Melanie McCloud, Robert Tate, Leona D. Williams and Christian Hyche; her grandchildren, Toreon McCloud, Tavares McCloud, Ah’Lorah Hyche and her ex-husband, Stewart Hyche, who was married to Trina in the early 1980’s and raised all of the children as his own. She is survived by her sisters, Lisa, Donna, Adrianne and Lolita; her brothers, Howard and Andre and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10th Street, on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and at Second Baptist Church, 757 East 26th Street, on Monday, July 14 from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm. with Pastor Darrell K. Cook officiating. Burial to follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
