Timothy A. Edwards

Timothy A. Edwards age 42 of Erie, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 following a motorcycle accident. 

He was born in Erie on August 7, 1980, son of Allan Edwards of Erie and the late Lynette (Potter) Edwards.

Tim graduated from McDowell High School in 1998. In 2012, he graduated with an associate's degree in Computer Networking and Telecommunications from the Fortis Institute of Erie. Post graduation, he secured a Computer Programming instructor position and served as Director of Facilities/Maintenance.

He spent the majority of his career working as Head of Security for multiple bars in the Erie area, most notably McCoy’s Barrelhouse & Grill.

Tim enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and automotive repair. He surrounded himself with his second “family” from McCoy’s and members of the motorcycle club, Savage Kings. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved riding his bike whenever he could. He had a jovial personality and his wit and sarcasm will be missed.

Greeting him at the Heavenly Gates is his mother, Lynette; his uncle, Charles Potter; his aunt and uncle, Sharon and William Hiles; paternal grandparents, Frank and Louise Edwards; and maternal grandparents, Burnam and Sara Potter.

In addition to his father, Tim is survived by his daughter and son, Sara and Tallan Edwards; his sister, Amy Edwards and her two daughters, Charlie and Sophie; his significant other, Jane Retzler; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
