Thomas Aubrey LaQue, 96, of Girard, passed away in the early morning hours on April 12, 2026, at Fairview Manor.

He was born June 11, 1929, in Erie, a son to the late Aubrey J. and Helen C. (Gallagher) Laque.

Thomas attended St. Andrews Grade School, graduated from Cathedral Prep, and later attended Veterans School. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Since 1965, he worked as a Die Repairman for Parker White Metal, until his retirement. Thomas was a member of the Society of the 3rd Infantry Division and American Legion Post 567 – Albion.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Bernice L. (Miller) LaQue; a daughter, Candice Felege; grandson, Garner Cole; as well as his previous wife and mother of his daughters, Harriet Taylor.

Thomas is survived by two daughters: Michelle Cole and her husband, Michael of Dorset, OH, Kimberly Patton of Portsmith, OH; and a sister, Ruth Balogh. He is further survived by grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the hospice team and nurses at Fairview Manor, especially his aide, Roberta, for the loving care shown to Thomas during his stay.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. E., Girard, PA on May 16th, 2026 from 2 PM until the time of memorial service there at 4 PM.
