Thomas Lapping

Thomas G. Lapping, age 68, of Fairview, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at his residence following a brief illness. Born May 1, 1944 in Green County, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur and Betty Jones Lapping. Tom was a 1962 graduate of Fairview High School and went on to work 50 years at Weislogel Shur Fine Market in Fairview where his last years were spent as the Meat Manager. He was a member of the American Legion Post 742 in Fairview and he enjoyed shooting pool.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death a sister, Sue Lapping. He is survived by his wife and only love of his life, Pat Coniglio Lapping, three sons: Terry Lapping and his wife Paula, Timothy Lapping and Todd Lapping and his wife Amanda all of Erie. He is also survived by a brother Ronald Lapping and his wife Fran of Erie and two stepchildren, Michael Rowland of Fairview and Tina Patten of Fresno, CA. along with two grandchildren. Also, a cousin Donald Jones and his wife Iva of Alton, VA., as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 followed by a service at 8 p.m. in Burton's All Faiths Chapel with Rev.
