Theresa Johnson

Theresa Eleanor Adams Fatica Johnson, age 92, of Erie, passed into eternal life on September 25, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Renovo, PA one of ten children to the late Anna Borosky and Joseph Adams.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, are sisters, Anne Spath, Mary Miller, and Frances Debman and brothers, Mark, Charles, George, John, Joe, and Gene Adams. Also, great-granddaughters Lexie and Macie Fatica. Many nieces and nephews survive.

Terrie moved to Erie at age nineteen, working for Erie Bolt and Nut, Marx Toys, the Bureau of Consumer Protection, and the Chancery Office of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Erie.

She married Charles Fatica on May 14, 1960, widowed with their three young boys in 1974.

She will be greatly missed by her devoted sons Mark (Lisa) Fatica, Christopher (Angela) Fatica, and Michael (Kristen) Fatica; grandchildren Alex (Rachel) Fatica, Karly (Christopher) Green, Stephen (Kelsey) Fatica, Anna (Rod) Kern, Rosa (Drevell) Showers, Lia (John) Dill, Andrew Fatica, and Benjamin (Rebecca) Fatica. Also five great-grandchildren, Maverick Green, Jackson Fatica, Eleanor Fatica, Phinnegan Showers, and Esme Fatica.

Terrie married William Johnson on October 9, 1987. They were happily wed just shy of thirty years before his passing on October 5, 2017. She was blessed with an extended family, survived by Blaze Johnson, Roger (Denise) Johnson, and Buss (Nancy) Johnson, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She always told people that her beloved first husband gave her three amazing sons, and her wonderful second husband took her around the world. She and Bill traveled to many places across the U.S. and Europe, as well as Australia.

A warm and kind woman of great faith, Terrie prayed the rosary daily. She was a participant in the Cursillo movement and a great friend and supporter of the Carmelite Sisters. She was also a parishioner of St. Jude Church.

Terrie became an avid sports enthusiast while raising her three boys, attending countless basketball and baseball games. She was an active fan and supporter of Our Lady’s Christian School and Cathedral Prep. She was in regular attendance for her grandchildren’s athletic events and theater performances. Her love for sports continued as she spent many years golfing with her husband Bill and her ladies’ golf group, even earning herself a hole-in-one at the Windstar Country Club in Naples, FL.

She was a past member of the Erie Yacht Club, Elk’s Cub, Lakeshore Country Club, and Lawrence Park Golf Club.

Terrie always said, “I’ll see ya when I see ya, and if I don’t see ya, I’ll see ya!” Rest in peace, Terrie. We will see ya when we see ya!

Friends are invited to call at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 2801 W. 6^th St. on Thursday October 6^th from 9:30 am until 11:00 am at which time a Funeral Mass will be celebrated.
