Theodore M. Hespelein

Theodore M. Hespelein age 87, of Millcreek, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, with his family by his side.

He was born in Erie on June 13, 1939, a son of the late Theodore A. and Miriam Wilkinson Hespelein.

Ted was a 1957 graduate of Strong Vincent High School. Ted went on to work at Lord Corporation for over 38 years and retired in March 2000.

Ted was a member of the Sportsmen Athletic Club for many years. He enjoyed meeting his friends at the club to watch football games. He was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns and golfing.

He is survived by Step Daughter Karen (Scully) Platz, her husband Allen Platz, Step Grandchildren Charles Platz, Andrea (Platz) Morris and Daniel Platz. Step Great Grandchildren Brandon, Julie, Charles II Platz, Wyatt and Ezra Morris.

He is also survived by cousins Janet & Wayne Fentress along with their two sons Craig and David. Lori and Tom Grubb along with their two daughters Katie and Allison.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street, on Tuesday, August 18th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
