Susan D. Wurzbach

Susan D. Wurzbach, age 80, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024, after a ten year battle with cancer.

She was born in Erie, PA on July 1, 1943, a daughter to the late Albert and Elise Wurzbach.

Sue graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1961 and Mercyhurst College in 1965, where she received a B.A. Degree in Education. She taught Spanish in the Millcreek School District her entire professional career. Sue was a member of many clubs and organizations and loved traveling to Spain. She touched so many lives with her kindness, friendship, and courage and will be remembered and missed.

She is survived by her cousin Katherine Pentycofe (Rod) and family, several cousins, and many dear friends.

Her family wishes to thank all the wonderful people who were so kind to Susan during her long illness.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Friday, March 1 at 10 am at St Patrick’s Cathedral, 130 E. 4^th Street, Erie, PA. Arrangements entrusted to Burton Quinn-Scott Funeral Home, 3801 West 26^th Street, Erie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to any animal shelter or charity of your choice.
