Stewart Edmund Porter, age 35, of Millcreek, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
He was born in Meadville on October 13, 1990, a son of Donald and Diane Porter.
Stewart graduated from Meadville High School in 2009 where he played outfield on the
Meadville Bulldogs baseball team. He was known as the most positive player. After High
School he went on to trade school at Tri-State Business Institute where he excelled in
artistic welding.
During and after trade school he went to work at Donjon Shipbuilding & Repair where
he would work his way up from helper to A-1 welder over the course of 14 years. There
he would meet and work with some of his best friends as well as meet his wife AnnMarie
Porter.
Stewart enjoyed his years traveling with the baseball team, skateboarding, hunting, 4-
wheeling and being outdoors. He also enjoyed hanging out with family and friends and
listening to a wide variety of music. He always had his own style and took pride in it.
He is survived by his parents Don and Diane (Zalewski) Porter; his wife, AnnMarie
(Chylinski) Porter; his son, Lazlo A. Porter; Great Danes Lyra & Syrax; several Aunts,
Uncles, cousins and so many wonderful friends.
Stewart had the kindest heart. He would do anything for those he loved. He was the kind
of human that not one person he knew could say a bad word about him. He deeply loved
his wife, son, family and friends and will be missed beyond measure.
Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., West
Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street on Saturday, May 16th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwest Pennsylvania Autism Society or
The Arc of Erie County Pennsylvania.
