Solomon Ramdhanie

Solomon R. Ramdhanie, 73, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at UPMC Hamot.

Born in Balmain Couva, Trinidad & Tobago W.I. on March 11, 1949, a son of the late James and Korisha (Ali) Ramdhanie.

At the age of 21, Sol was the first in his family to come to the United States. Throughout his career he worked at Dailey’s/Hallmans, The Nissan Store, Roth Cadillac, Kitcey's Collision, ultimately retiring from GE in 2016. Sol was active in the community and was a member of Second Baptist Church, Gem City Elks Club, American Legion 771, the Wesleyville Athletic Club, Siebenbuerger Club, and the Polish Falcons 123.

Everyone who knew Sol, knew him for being a die hard Steelers Fan; along with his faithful crew of friends to match! They would gather to watch the games weekly. Sol loved Family! He was revered as the Patriarch of his family. Through his courage and tenacity he helped others live the American Dream. He loved his family and they loved and respected him; especially his GRANDKIDS!

Solomon is survived by his wife of 31 years Bernadine, his three daughters, Natasha Ramdhanie-Johnson of Erie, Bridgette Ramdhanie-May, of Erie, and Korisha Ramdhanie-Brown and husband Malcom of Silver Spring, MD; five grandchildren, Isaiah and Addison May, Lyric Johnson, and Colette and Ellis Brown. His first wife Cynthia Moore. Three brothers, Dorman (Sandra)Ramdhanie, Dean(Angiene) Ramdhanie both of Erie; and Bryan Ramdhanie; two sisters, Yasmin(Roy) Ogeerali and Zalinah Sin Pang, and one aunt Ida Ramarack all of Trinidad. Four bonus daughters Pam(Larry) Gutting, Angie Esters, Lori Coleman all of Erie; Tracey (Walker) Harvey and bonus son Aaron Ewing of Richmond VA. 

Friends are invited to call on the family at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie, PA 16510 on Saturday, November 5^th, 2022 from 10 am until the time of service there at 12 noon.
