Shirley Anne Gavin

Shirley Anne Gavin AKA (Woo/Shirleymae) by all those that loved her. She passed away peacefully at her home on August 13, 2026, at the age of 83 surrounded by family.

She was born on March 24, 1943, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to the late Michael and Rose (Hayes) Wargo.

Shirley was a graduate of Seneca High School. After raising her family, she became a devoted nurse's aide at the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home. Shirley loved to read, knit, embroider and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Gavin; her brothers, Michael Wargo, Donald Wargo, and Lawrence Wargo; and her beautiful daughter in law, Stephanie Moles Krayeski.

Shirley leaves behind to cherish her in memory, her children; daughter, Deborah Harris and her husband Michael; sons, Darrell Wargo, Donald Krayeski, Kenneth Krayeski, and James Williams. She is further survived by brothers, Daniel Wargo and Jesse Wargo; sister, Michelle Jukkola; grandkids, Larissa, Aurianna, Kiara, Keshon, Jaila, James, Jayda, Da'Zhia, Maurion, Maleek, Jayanna, and Kalli; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses Lydia and Bri from Asceracare Hospice for the loving care and comfort they provided.

Friends are invited to call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10th Street, on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private.

Woo will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
