Rudolph J. Soto

Rudolph J. Soto, 67, passed away on Friday, June 13th, at St. Vincent Health Center.

Born in Oceanside, California, on January 24th, 1958, he was the eldest child of the late Rudolf T. Soto and Connie Alvarado Soto.

Rudy worked in Information Technology at Erie Insurance and played catcher on the Erie Insurance softball team for many years. He was also a talented artist, creating beautiful landscapes in oil, acrylic, and watercolors for decades. After his retirement in 2022, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. A kind and quiet man, he was a devoted husband and father whose family was his greatest joy. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randolph Soto, of Oceanside.

He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Volk Soto; his son, Rudolph Trey Soto, and his daughter-in-law, Savanna Rose Wright, all of Erie, PA; as well as his sisters, Martha Soto Halloran of Rainer, Oregon, and Barbara Soto Weaver, of Vista, California.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., West Ridge.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all who wish to honor Rudy’s life consider becoming organ donors.
