Ronald Mazzocco

Ronald Edward Mazzocco, Sr., age 74, of Erie, passed away Friday December 28, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital.

He was born in Erie on March 28, 1938, a son of the late Edna Mazzocco.

Ronald was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School. He worked at Erie Malleable Iron for 32 years retiring in 1999 and was the Union President there for 29 years.

He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, La Nuova Aurora Club and liked to spend time at his camp fishing and hunting.

In addition to his mother, Ronald was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Elliott Mazzocco, I.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Irene H. Zmijewski Mazzocco; four sons, Ronald Edward Mazzocco Jr., Randy Mazzocco, Ricci Mazzocco and Ryan (Shelly) Mazzocco, all of Erie; and three grandchildren, Abigail, Anthony and Sophia Mazzocco. Ronald is also survived by his eldest living uncle, Lucian Landini.

Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 pm until the time of the service there at 8 pm.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
