Ronald W. Grignol

Ronald W. Grignol, age 94, of Erie passed away Saturday, October 10, 2026. He was born in Erie on September 23, 1932, the son of the late Edward L. and Gertrude (Brower) Grignol.

Ronald was a 1952 graduate of Cathedral Prep and went on to serve in the US Army. He worked at Erie Burial Case Company and later with LOC Lumber for many years until his retirement.

Ronald enjoyed the casino and loved taking rides in the fall to view the leaves.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Alice (Alexviczh) Grignol; a daughter, Helen M. Counts; a granddaughter, Nicole Glaz; and a brother, Albert Grignol.

Ronald is survived by three daughters; Mary Alice Irwin and her husband Dave of Alexandria, KY; Kathy Becker of Erie; and Theresa Margaret Chiappazzi and her husband Daniel of Fort Wayne, IN. He is also survived by a brother, Richard Grignol of FL along with many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation and Funeral Services will be private with burial in Calvary cemetery.
