Robert Allen Wilson, affectionately known as Bobby or RA, passed away on October 19, 2026, at Pleasant Ridge Manor while in hospice care. Originally from Hopewell, Pennsylvania, and Gallatin, Tennessee, he most recently resided in Waterford, Pennsylvania.

Robert attended Hopewell Senior High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army and Army Reserves. His service allowed him to travel the world, and his many trades took him on adventures of his own. He worked in the Nashville area, laying carpet at the Grand Ole Opry Hotel and performing electrical work for several country music stars. He also worked in concrete, HVAC, and the Aliquippa steel mills. Of all his trades, being an electrician was his favorite.

Bobby lived a life full of adventure, from backpacking mountain sides to enjoying a beer in Berlin. He loved old folk and classic rock music, especially Bob Dylan, reading the Cave Children series and his Bible, telling stories, and cooking for his family. His faith in Jesus Christ was unwavering, and he loved sharing the Bible and the love of the Lord with everyone he met. In his later years, he enjoyed neighborhood walks and scooter rides around town with his music playing and his American flag waving.

His greatest love was his family. He was the proud father of Jennifer Wilson (Jay Hetrick), Natalie Wilson, and Heather Wilson, and a devoted grandfather to Corey (Sydney) Pack, Joshua (Harlee) Pack, Jared Lee, Jocelyn Hoover, Caleb Hoover, and Hayden Tesnovich. He was the beaming great-grandfather of Gabriel Pack and Maelynn Pack. He also leaves behind his beloved siblings Dee Dee Wilson, Brian (Melissa) Wilson, Amy Wilson, Justin (Debby) Wilson, Matthew (Jen) Wilson, Jonathan Wilson, and William Wilson, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Bobby never missed an opportunity to tell others about his children and grandchildren or share how proud he was of their accomplishments. As COPD limited his ability to get out, he treasured his family group chat, sharing good mornings, good nights, silly GIFs, memes, and messages of love. Being surrounded by family made his face shine like the sun. His family and his faith in Jesus Christ were his greatest earthly treasures.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Jackson Wilson Sr.; his mother, Helen Stone; his stepmother, Joyce Wilson; his brothers, Donnie Wilson Jr. and Scott Wilson; his sister, Debbie Owen; his grandsons, Jacob Pack and Michael Hoover; his former wife, Patty Nardick; his nieces, Nikki Tucker and Tessa Wilson; and other beloved family members.

Bobby faced his final journey without fear, confident in his faith and looking forward to meeting his Heavenly Father. His adventurous spirit, stories, humor, faith, and boundless love for his family will live on in all who knew him.

At Bobby’s request, he will be cremated. Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. is assisting the family. There will be no public viewing or funeral service; the family will gather privately at a later date to celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Embracing Our Veterans or Veterans Affairs in honor of Bobby’s proud service to his country.
