Richard Allen Gladden, Jr.

Richard Allen Gladden, Jr. age 57, of Millcreek, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by family and close friends on Monday, January 12th, 2026.

Born in Latrobe, PA on August 15th, 1968, he was the son of Carol Kaufman (Berninger) and the late Richard A. Gladden, Sr. Richard was a 1986 graduate of McDowell High School and Clarion University in 1990 with a bachelor’s in business administration.

He worked as a successful Wealth Advisor for PNC Investments for 33 years.

Richard was a member of the Kahkwa Club, Siebenbuerger Club, Zukor Club and the Sportsman’s Athletic Club. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Rick was an amazing husband, father and son, and enjoyed attending Ricky’s sporting events. His children were his pride and joy.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew D. Gladden; grandparents, Ira Beringer, Ellen Zaus, Elizabeth and Richard Gladden; stepfather, Keith Kaufman, father-in-law, Anthony Covatto and brother-in-law, Donald Covatto.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Angela Gladden (Covatto); two children, Allison and Richard (Ricky) Gladden; his mother, Carol Kaufman; mother-in-law, Doloris Covatto; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Denise Liberatore; two stepsisters, Tracy Kaufman (Steve) and Sherry Conrad (Sean) and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of DaVita Dialysis and AHN Internal Radiology for all of their care and support.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street on Friday, January 16th from 10:00 am. until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
