Randolph Green

Randolph Michael Green, age 49, passed away peacefully at UPMC Hamot on Saturday, October 22, 2022.

He was born on August 23, 1973, in Erie, a son to Randolph Green and Helen Kudroshoff Arnold.

Randy graduated from Seneca High School. He earned an associate degree in biomedics from Erie Institute of Technology. He had studied biomedical engineering at Edinboro University and earned a degree in electrical engineering at Triangle Tech. Randy served in the Army National Guard for eight years working as a tank mechanic. While living in Miami, Florida, he repaired medical equipment for International MedX as a biomedical technician and traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and Haiti. He also worked for GE Medical as a traveling biomedical engineer, traveling as far as China to repair medical equipment. He recently worked for WabTech, in Erie, as an engineer for electric trains.

He enjoyed traveling to Key West, visiting the local beaches, fishing & sailing and raising hell at the local hot spots. He was an avid collector of weaponry and designer watches. He was a member of the American Legion, the Sunflower Club and St. Boniface Ushers Club.

He was preceded in death by his stepfathers, Bob Hermann and Mark Arnold; and his grandfather, John Kudroshoff.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by a son, Alex Hollands (Amarilys); granddaughter, Everly; sister, Michelle Randazzo; aunt, JoAnn Philips (Bart); uncle, Dan Kauffman (Lori); grandmother, Helen Joint; three step-brothers, Shawn Arnold, Brian Arnold, and Kevin Arnold; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was an advocate for the homeless, especially Veterans, many of whom he helped in his neighborhood with food, clothing and shelter.

Funeral arrangements will be private and a memorial gathering is planned for some time next year.
