Ralph J. Colvin Jr., age 94, of Erie, PA passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at LECOM Parkside at Glenwood, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Erie, PA on September 5, 1931, a son of the late Ralph J. Colvin Sr. and Mabel Baumbauer.
He was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School and was employed for 42 years installing elevators and escalators. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 until 1954.
He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church and enjoyed dancing, bowling, golfing, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Jean Marie Colvin, his son Ralph J. Colvin III, and wife Susan Colvin, also his son, James L. Colvin.
He is survived by his son: Dennis M. Colvin (Melanie), and his daughter: Melody R. Litzenberg (Ward); six grandchildren, Pamela, Rechelle (Chuck), Dennis (Holly), Kimberly (Rick), Chase, and Taylor; eleven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Friends may call at Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Avenue) on Sunday Oct 26th from 1pm until 5pm. Services will be held at the funeral home Monday Oct 27th at 10am preceded by the burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Heart Association or Mount Calvary Church.
