Pauline Etta Bird

Pauline Etta (Cassady Ferri) Bird, age 66, of Girard, PA, formerly Lawrence Park and Tampa, FL., passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023.  She was born in Erie on July 24, 1956, a daughter of the late Grace Anna (Bretz) Strong.  Pauline graduated from Iroquois High School, Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, and Gannon University.  She was a registered nurse for over 25 years and hoped to be remembered for her work with HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, hospice, and long-term care patients.  

In addition to her mother, Pauline was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Cassady and grandparents, John & Henrietta Bretz.  She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Kleshchevnikova and her husband Vitaliy of Templeton, PA; her son, Joseph Ferri of Tampa; sister-in-law, Teresa Cassady along with her children and grandchildren; her beloved dog Dude; and grand-dogs, Tyson & Dasha. 

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, Inc., 525 Main St. East, Girard on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her service at 1:00 p.m.
