Paul Thomas Siegel, a beloved husband, father, step-father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at his home in Fairview, PA, on Saturday, December 7, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on October 5, 1941, in Knox Township, PA, the son of the late Paul Thomas Siegel and Martina Glosser Siegel.
Paul was a man of strong character and unwavering integrity, known for his deep sense of responsibility, kindness, and dedication to those he loved. He set a standard of excellence in every aspect of his life and inspired countless others with his values of hard work, fairness, and humility.
A proud 1963 graduate of Clarion University, Paul was recognized as All-County in basketball. He went on to earn a Master’s degree from West Virginia University in 1967. Paul dedicated 20 years to teaching and coaching at both the high school and college levels. His leadership led his teams at Youngsville and McDowell High Schools to multiple district and league championships, leaving an indelible mark on his players both on and off the court.
After his career in education, Paul built a successful insurance business, which became his passion. He earned numerous professional designations, including Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC) and Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI), demonstrating the same drive and commitment that defined his earlier years.
In retirement, Paul was a 50 plus year member of Lakeshore Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf and the camaraderie of the friendships he developed there. Along with golf, he enjoyed spending time with his family, and cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Pirates. His love for his wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings knew no bounds. And his legacy of kindness, character, and life lessons will live on in the many lives he touched.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his sister, Mame Estadt, and two brothers, Larry Siegel and Kenneth Siegel.
