Patricia Jean Rudolph Johnson, age 87, of Fairview, passed away on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026, at Westlake Woods.

She was born on August 24, 1938 in Erie, the daughter of the late Ralph and Thelma (Lang) Rudolph.

Patricia grew up on Hershey Road in Summit Township and attended Summit Township Elementary School, then Academy Junior High and High School, graduating in 1956. After graduating, Patricia attended Villa Maria College in Erie, and graduated in May 1960 with a degree in Business Education. She earned a Master’s of Science Degree in School Administration and Supervision which was completed at Edinboro.

In June 1960, Patricia married Richard Norman Johnson, also a 1956 graduate of Academy High School. Patricia accepted a teaching position in the Northwestern School District in 1972, and taught business subjects in the high school and junior high/middle school, retiring in 2001. After retirement, Patricia joined PASR (Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees) and PSEA retired.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her previous husband, Richard; her brother, Fred Sypher; her grandmother Frances Rudolph, with whom she spent a lot of time with as a child.

Patricia is survived by a daughter, Carey Lee Johnson of California, MD; two sons, Eric Paul Johnson of Erie and David Alan Johnson (Julie) of Roanoke, VA; sisters, Jane Sypher Tierney (Larry); Marilyn Tyson (Charles); Janine Stork (Richard). She is further survived by grandchildren, Brittany Janda, Todd Johnson, Cooper Johnson, and Mikel Elizabeth Johnson.

No service or viewing hours will be observed. Private arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., West Ridge.

Memorials may be made to the Erie Humane Society, Anna Shelter, or Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary.
