Pamela "Pammy" Rose (Priestap) Stuczynski

November 15, 1958 — January 19, 2024

Pamela “Pammy” Rose (Priestap) Stuczynski, 65, went home with Jesus on January 19, 2024 after a bravely fought cancer battle.

Pam was born on November 15, 1958 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Charles M. and Bunny (Hatch) Priestap.

Growing up, Pam was always surrounded by her sisters and brothers. The Priestaps were a very close-knit group and a family that everyone wished they could grow up in. The stories of the fun they had and the love they shared, as well as the times when Pam would show them her famous attitude, will forever be remembered. Her family was always the core of her life. She graduated from McDowell High School in 1976. Pam was a true queen in life and at school. She was on the Homecoming Court and later in the school year was chosen as the Prom queen. Pammy met her soulmate and the absolute love of her life, Anthony “Rick” Stuczynski in the Erie Playhouse production of South Pacific. Pam and Rick got married on February 14, 1981. Together they had five children. There was never a boring moment (or a moment of silence) in the Stuczynski house. Pam was the orchestrator of the chaos, and somehow still managed to find the time to pack six lunches every night, while often tucking a little love note into each of them. That was the kind of mom she was.

Pammy also loved Jesus with all of her heart. She was a prayer warrior and a listening ear to so many church friends and family members. While Pam worked a few different part time jobs throughout her life, her career of choice and favorite occupation was being a wife and mother. When her grandchildren were born, she became “Grammy Pammy” and took on a new role of becoming the most entertaining and best grandma ever! Whether playing sports on the staircase, sneaking in sugary treats, or getting out every single toy in the toy closet, every grandchild knew that the fun was about to start when Grammy was there. There will never be a grandma quite like Grammy.

In addition to her family, Pam also loved her precious dogs (Annie, Ruby, and Gracie will be lost without her- and without all of the cookies!) and cats Rosie and Moxie, her many collections of antiques (there is little wall space left in the house), walking and biking at Presque Isle and in her neighborhood, and keeping all of the local shops and stores in business. But her most favorite thing of all was spending time at home with Rick and the dogs relaxing in the hot tub and Facetiming the grandkids.

Pammy is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Rick; her mother, Bunny Priestap; her children Heather (Doug) Eaton, Claire (Rachel Graden) Stuczynski, Phil (Nicolena) Stuczynski, Tom (Elysa) Stuczynski, and Joe (Zach Jones) Stuczynski. She is also survived by her grandchildren Emmett, Elijah and Emelia Eaton; Lonan and Finlo Stuczynski; Haylen and Maximus Stuczynski; and Hailey (Hayden Wilbur) and Jason Reams. Her Priestap family remained absolutely devoted to Pam until the very end, and her children will never forget that. Her siblings include Cindy (Sam) Mancini, Chuck (Lisa) Priestap, Becky (Steve) Hess, and Michael (Barb) Priestap. She is also survived by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Kathleen Stuczynski, as well as her sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Martin Priestap, and her grandson, Lucius Stuczynski. She will be fervently missed, and her energy and love will never be replicated.

Calling hours will be held from 2-5 pm and from 6- 8 pm on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard, PA, with a funeral to be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:00 am. Please wear something bright because Pammy would never want to see a room full of black!

The family would like to send their greatest thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at St. Vincent Medical Center, especially Erica, Rachel, Donielle, and Kristen. We will never forget your kindness. Heaven is already a brighter place with Pammy there. Well done, good and faithful servant!
