Opal Michael

Opal L. Wells Michael, formerly of Fairview, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Brevillier Village in Erie where she had resided since August 2005. She was born in Erie, a daughter of the late Archie and Iva Parsons Wells.

In addition to her parents Opal was preceded in death by her husband Carl H. Michael, Jr. in 1975, three sisters: Joyce Brandell, Helen Lewis and a twin sister, Echo Wells. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Donald Wells and Kenneth A. Wells. She is survived by a son, Kevin D. Michael and his wife Johanna of Barton, VT, two grandchildren: Karri Worth of Fairview and Matthew Michael, three nephews: Thomas Lewis, Roger and David Brandell; a niece, Carole Hanna, and four great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard. Friends are invited to a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at Erie Cemetery, 2116 Chestnut Street in Erie. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Fire Department, P.O.
