Thomas Presogna

Thomas J. Presogna, age 78, of Erie passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 at home with his family at his side. He was born March 4, 1944 in Erie the son of the late John and Mary (Pacuraw) Presogna.

Tom was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School and the University of Pittsburgh where he played trumpet in their marching band. Tom had worked at AMSCO/ Steris and later at Masi Sports World. He loved all his students while driving school bus for First Student. Tom was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a member of St. Andrew Catholic church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Presogna; a sister, Cecelia Connors; his in-laws, Ida and Norbert Santos, and a nephew, Craig Connors.

Tom is survived by his wife, Dusty Santos Presogna; a daughter, Christine Wurst (Tom); a son John (Jack) Presogna (Leah); a brother, John Presogna (Connie) and a sister, Barbara Schwartz (William). He is the grandfather of Kaitlyn and Kellie Presogna and the father-in-law of Lorie Watters Presogna. Tom is further survived by 20 godchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Tom’s family would like to thank LECOM VNA Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion during his illness.

Friends are invited to call at the Quinn Funeral Home, West 9^th & Liberty St. on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Friday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in St. Andrew Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
