Stanley Slupski

Stanley Slupski, 71, of Millcreek passed away peacefully March 4, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Erie on March 30, 1949, son of the late John and Stella Donikowski Slupski.

Stan proudly served his country as a United States Army Infantryman in Vietnam while assigned to the 4th Infantry “Ivy” Division in 1970.

He worked for General Electric for 36 years retiring in 2009.

Stan enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and was a lifelong Steelers fan. But most of all, he especially loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Harry Slupski.

He is survived  by his wife of 51 years, Kathleen Niethamer Slupski; four children, Stan John Slupski of Chesapeake, VA, Stacey Slupski and her partner Damyan Graves of Erie, PA,  Rebecca Lancione and her husband Mario of Bolten, Ontario Canada, Erin Kane and her husband Bob of Greensburg, PA; 7 grandchildren who lovingly called him “PopPop”, Zachary, Olivia, Michael, Mila, Annina, Gianluca and Molly; two extended grandchildren, Amaya and Alivia; a brother Paul Slupski and his wife Debbie and a sister, Shirley Froehlich.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26^th Street (at Powell Ave) on Monday from 2:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and are invited to services there on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m..  Those that cannot attend services may view via livestream at www.facebook.com/BurtonQuinnScott. Burial to follow in Erie Cemetery.
