Obituary/Notice
Ruth M. St. George, age 90, of Erie passed away peacefully on Monday evening, February 27, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Erie on August 24, 1932, a daughter of the late, Raymond and Ann Skibinski Konieczny.
Ruth graduated from East High School and Orra Jean Beauty Academy. She worked as a domiciliary in-home care provider for GECAC for 24 years. She was also a nurse’s aide at Erie County Apex Hospital and Alpine Nursing Home. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, artistic painting, watching pro football and playing bingo. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved her family beyond measure.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Alton E. St. George.
Ruth is survived by her son, James M. St. George of Fort Washington, PA; daughter, Andrea R. Sprague (Glenn) of Erie and grandsons, Stephen Karsh and Matthew Karsh, both of Erie, Jameson and Caleb St. George, Fort Washington, PA, her daughter-in-law, Katelyn R. St. George, Fort Washington, PA, and her coming granddaughter expected this August, Elenora Rose St. George.
Friends are invited to attend a graveside service in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Section 16 on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 10:00a.m. with Fr. Philip Pinczewski, Pastor of Blessed Sacrament, Presiding.
Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road.
