Ronald Aleksiewicz

Ronald J. “Ronnie” Aleksiewicz, age 71, of Girard, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Erie, on September 14, 1946, a son of the late William and Vera Emerick Aleksiewicz.

Ron graduated from Academy High School in 1964.

He worked at Parker White Metal, now PHB, as a machinist and then in the shipping department.  Ron retired in 2009 after 36 years.

Ron was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Girard. He was an avid San Francisco 49er fan.  He loved taking care of his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Don Aleksiewicz; stepson, Richard Ballard and grandson, Matthew Lamb.

Ron is survived by his wife of 22 years, Doris Griffis Aleksiewicz; his daughters, Dawn Lamb (Patrick) of Waterford, Krista Auer (Dennis), and Kara Aleksiewicz, all of Erie and a brother, Bill Aleksiewicz (Sue) of Meadville; and a step daughter, Lisa Carnes (Gary) Girard.  He is further survived by four grandchildren: Patrick Lamb, Sierra Auer, Dennis Auer Jr., and Rylee Griffith; five step grandchildren, Tia Carnes of Fresno, CA and Paige Carnes of Erie, Liz Plyer of Erie, Adam Ballard of Albion and Eric Ballard of Fairview; and two step great grandsons, Jaxon Carlos of Fresno, CA; and Payden Ballard of Albion; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Sunday from 2pm until 6pm, and are invited to attend a funeral service there on Monday at 11 am with Pastor Marty Critchfield officiating.

Burial will be at Albion Cemetery.
