Michael Long

Michael David Long, age 61, of Erie and formerly of McKean, passed away in Macon, MO on April 1, 2021.

He was born in Erie on April 15, 1959, a son of the late David G. and Mary Shanor Long.

He graduated from McDowell High School and attended Edinboro University.

Michael previously worked in sales and helped deliver meals for the elderly through GECAC. He worked as an on the road truck driver.

He enjoyed bowling, golfing, boating, fishing, target shooting. He also volunteered and trained therapy horses that were used for children and Veterans therapy.

Michael is survived by his son Brandon Althof-Long, daughter, Nicole Althof-Long, two brothers, Mark Long and Matt (Sandra) Long, two nieces, Kristen Moonan and Kelsey Ristin and Jacob Althof.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Church of the Cross, 5901 Millfair Road, Fairview, on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 4 p.m. with Reverend Drew Himes officiating.
