Lisa Diane McCain

May 30, 1967 — May 27, 2023

Lisa Diane McCain passed away in the early hours of May 27th, 2023. She fought a long, courageous battle with stage 4 breast cancer.

Lisa was born on May 30th, 1967, to the late Charlotte (Knoebel) and Robert Wienczkowski. After graduating McDowell High in 1985, she went on to spend many years in the service industry. A notable position that she became known for, was her time in management with the Sportsmens Athletic Club.

What Lisa valued most, was her family. She had room for the world in her heart. She loved spending quality time with her grandchildren and family. Lisa was an exceptional cook and the most gracious host. Good food and good company were a big motivation in her life. She loved to travel and be in the outdoors. Between her time at camp and trips to Italy with her husband, she couldn’t get enough. But above all else, she loved the Lord.

Lisa is survived by her children, Bryan and Kelsey, her beloved grandson, Jasper, and her husband, Mark. Further on, she is survived by her siblings: James Wienczkowski, Theresa Grasinger (Jim), Daniel Wienczkowski (Diane), John Wienczkowski, Susan Ross (Mike), Carrie Gardner (Charlie), and Ann Markham (Jeff). She is also survived by her step children Kate Frank (Dave), Pat McCain, and Christopher McCain. She leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt, uncles and many dear friends to carry on her memory.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents Ed and Anna Wienczkowski, and Charles and Theresa Knoebel, three brothers: Gary, Michael, and Mark Wienczkowski, and a special nephew, Chase Hollingsworth.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the hardworking staff at St. Mary’s who ensured her comfort, especially Shana, Lynn, Shea and Yahtzee.

Upon Lisa’s request, there will be a private service entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th. Street, Erie.

Memorials may be made to the Saint Vincent Oncology Center, 2508 Myrtle Street, Erie, PA, 16502.
