Katherine Akerly

Katherine Akerly, age 79, of Erie passed away on Monday at UPMC Hamot.

Katherine was born on November 28, 1934 in Meadville, PA.

She loved the casino and playing Bingo. She enjoyed life and her family the most.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine; a daughter, Katherine Ann; a sister, Ruby; two brothers; a grandson and a great grandchild.

Survivors include daughter Linda Akerly, son Glen Akerly and his wife Linda; 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, two sisters, Helen & Red.

Friends may call on Thursday from 10am to 1 pm at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street and are invited to stay for a service at 1 pm.

Burial will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family in care of Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502.
