John Flatley

John L. Flatley, age 53, of Erie, died on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Erie on November 21, 1967, a son of the late Joseph R. Flatley, Sr. Rosemary “Pat” (Price) Flatley.

John graduated from Strong Vincent High School. He was a member of the local Iron Worker IBEW and worked at Amthor Steel.

He enjoyed family picnics and special gatherings; and loved music, Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Vikings.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Maureen Moose and Karen Flatley; and a brother in law, Donald Metzger.

John is survived by two sons, John G. Flatley and Liam Joseph Flatley; his former wife, Gennifer Winters; six brothers, Patrick Flatley, Joseph (Linda) Flatley, Kevin (Kathleen) Flatley, Timothy Flatley, Terrance (Linda) Flatley and Steve (Andrea) Flatley; and five sisters, Kathleen Flatley, Rosemary Jackson, Ann Metzger, Jane Letto and Christine Flatley.  He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Quinn Funeral Home, W. 9^th and Liberty, on Sunday from 1-4 pm and are invited to a Funeral Mass on Monday at 11 am. at St. Andrew Church, 1116 W. 7^th St., Erie.  Burial will be private.
