Jason Aloiz

Jason S. “Jay” Aloiz, age 35, of Millcreek, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 24, 2016.

He was born on July 10, 1981, a son of Kathleen Temple Aloiz and Richard S. Aloiz.

Jason was a 1999 graduate of McDowell High School. He worked at Riley Power as a welder and for many years at the Back Porch Ltd., the family furniture repair and refinishing business. Jason loved spending time with his mother, with whom he had a very special bond, and often helped her at her upholstery business.

He enjoyed music, camping, hiking and loved the outdoors especially during the winter. He was known for his gentle spirit. He also loved animals especially his dog Raja and his mom’s dog Magnus.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Elaine and Joseph Temple, his paternal grandparents, Lois and Fred Aloiz and a cousin, Matthew Temple.

In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by his fiancée Kaya Wilson, his uncles, Stephen (Judy) Temple of San Antonio, TX, Douglas (Peggy) Temple of Pittsburgh, PA James Temple (fiancée Mary Beth) of Erie, David (Teresa) Aloiz and an aunt Terri Rotunda; his cousins, Christina, Dan, Natalie, Allyne and Emily and his second Cousins, Akayzia, Noah and Meadow. Additionally he is survived by his great-aunt and great-uncle, Andrea and John Frederick of Lake Wales, FL and a special friend, Jerry Trocki.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506 on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service there at 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, to assist with funeral expenses.
