d. July 11, 2022

Charles “Chuck” Steiner, age 76, of Erie and formerly of Union Beach, NJ passed away peacefully at home on July 11, 2022 with his family by his side.

He was the son of the late Charles and Julia Steiner.

Chuck served in the Army National Guard of New Jersey and was a former draftsman for Revlon and retired from both the Navy Exchange System of Staten Island, NY, and the County of Monmouth, NJ.  Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and dedicated his time in service to his local community and county.

His love of photography was evident by all who knew and loved him. From local news events, to historical moments, to community celebrations, Chuck traveled across the region and country with camera in hand as a self-taught photographer. His most memorable photography shoot was to the top of the Verrazano Bridge to photograph the New York City Marathon with his dear friend Jerry.  He was a longtime advocate, supporter and friend to the Borough of Union Beach which gave him endless joy.

He is survived by his wife, “The Boss” Edwardine of 52 years, his loving sons David and wife Kara, Marc and partner Julie and his 3 grandchildren, Mason, Braden and Morgan.  He is further survived by his brother Robert and wife Barbara, sister-in-laws Ella and Joan; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends and best neighbors Laurie and Ed.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services at Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie on Thursday, July14, 2022 from 3pm until the time of a prayer service at 6pm.
