Charles Libell

Charles “Chuck” L. Libell, age 73 of Lake City, went home to Jesus on January 1, 2022 at Western Reserve Skilled Nursing Home.

Charles was born on May 3, 1948 in Butler, PA to the late Harold Libell and Eleanor L. Bauer Libell

He moved to the Erie area in 1951.  He graduated from Fort LeBoeuf High School in 1966 and attended Gannon College and was enlisted in the United States Coast Guard until 1971. Then went on to work for the LORD Corporation until retiring in 2016 with 44 years of service.  He was also a member of the McKean Hose Company from 1975-1985.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Libell.

Charles is survived by his wife Bonnie, of 47 years; his sons; Edmund (Carrie) of Erie, PA and Matthew (Beverly) of Denver, PA; his daughter, Melodie Boque (Tavis) of Ambridge, PA;  his brother, Bryan (Lynn) of Florence, AL; his sister, Darlene Ericson (Kirk) of Erie, PA; also survived by 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard on Friday from 2-4pm.
