Our pride, our joy, Betty Jean Schick, passed away peacefully at 94 surrounded by family to join our loved ones in Heaven. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania on May 5, 1928 to Lenore and Walter Baer.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, “Mickey” Schick, Grandsons Tyler Covato and Matthew Schick, Daughter-in-law Barbra Schick, and her beloved son, David Schick.

Betty is survived by Daughter-in-law, Sandi Schick, Don Schick (Linda), Scott Schick, Shari Covato, and Gary Schick (Karen). Grandchildren Leslie Becker (Brian), Nikki Beganics (Michael), Elissa Vickery (Danya), Carrie Mason (Chris), Traci Schick, Michael Schick (Destiny), Cara Covato, Justin Schick (Bernice), and Jamie Schick (Justin).

Betty Jean Schick was known for many things that we were very much proud of including, a singer (for the choir at church, Erie Playhouse, and the Erie Opera Theatre), and also a seamstress for her family, Shriner’s Hospital, and anyone that knew her.

She graciously gave us a beautiful family of 5 children, 9 Grand-Children, 15 Great-Grand Children, 3 Great, Great-Grand Children, and 4 Great, Great, Great Grand Children.

Her service will be held privately with family. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the ANNA Shelter in her honor.
