Beatrice Grimm

Beatrice Hanna Grimm, age 87, of Erie, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, on December 27, 1927, a daughter of the late Ernst and Seline Leu.

Beatrice immigrated to the United States in 1950 and was a founding member of Grimm Industries with her late husband, Adolf Grimm where she served as secretary treasurer. She loved to travel and work in her garden.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Adolf, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elly Leu and a brother, Ernst Leu.

Beatrice is survived by two daughters: Brigitte Binder and Monica (Jean-Luc) Pretre, both of Switzerland; two sons: Butch (Colleen) Grimm and Steven (Deborah) Grimm of Fairview. She is further survived by grandchildren: Michel (Claudia) Binder, Brian (Liz) Grimm, Mollie (Peter) Dennis, Justin (Melissa) Grimm, Natalie (Joseph) Thompson, Harrison Grimm, Brittany Grimm, Isabelle Pretre (Pierre), Valerie Pretre, and Christian (Stephanie) Grimm and Erika Grimm; as well as great grandchildren: Noah and David Binder; Hannah, Andrew and Benjamin Denman-Grimm; Colin and Jillian Dennis; Evan and Ella Grimm; Meredith and Logan Thompson; Nicholas and Joshua Grimm.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W.26th St. (at Powell) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm, and are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday at 10 am at Wayside Presbyterian Church, 1208 Asbury Rd., with Reverend Keith Sundberg officiating.
