Norma Jean King, age 75, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital after a short illness.
She was born on August 20, 1947, in Emlenton, PA, to the late Norman R. "Sonny" and Hazel Irene (Hall) King.
Norma graduated from Hollidaysburg Area High School, Class of '67. She continued her education at J.H. Thompson Beauty Academy, Class of '93. Norma worked some years as a nurse’s aide before becoming an office manager for more than 10 years at The Erie Center for the Blind. She enjoyed reading, crafting, family get-togethers and seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Ann Say and brother, Donald King.
She leaves behind to cherish her in memory, her partner of 23 years, Bill Zimmer; her sons, Anthony Grande (wife Angela), Richard Grande and Frank Grande; seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Natasha, Celeste, Anthony “A.J.” Jr, Michael, Julia and Justin; three great grandchildren, Avenlei, Miles and Aaliyah; brothers, Mike King, Doug King, Dick King and Bob King; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10th St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
