Nancy Chenault

Nancy J. Chenault age 87 of Erie, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at her residence.

She was born in Slippery Rock, PA on January 1, 1935 a daughter of the late Ray S. and Martha Grine Campbell.

Ms. Chenault attended Slippery Rock High School and Marshall County High School, from where she graduated. She worked at General Electric for many years until her retirement in 1973.

She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church. She served on the Presbyterian W.M.W. Advisory Board, the Finance Board, the G.E. Community Service Board of Directors and was a United Way of Erie volunteer. Nancy enjoyed sewing, crafts, and was an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Lucille Fox and Rhoda Steading and a brother: E. William Campbell.

She is survived by two daughters: Joyce Adams of Fairview; Judy Stansbury and her husband Doug of Ocala, FL; a brother, John Campbell and his wife Doris of Carrollton, GA; four grandchildren: Douglas (Ranai) Stansbury; Chris Stansbury; Gary (Sher) Adams; and Trisha (Neil) Santos; nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott, Cremation and Funeral Services at West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St. Erie on Friday June 10th from 10am until the time of service at 11am. with Rev. Robert Lewis officiating. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
