Michael Webb Mendralla Sr., 42, passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2026, in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Michael was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Dorothy Anderson; his grandmother, Margaret Webb; his mother, Laura Webb-Mendralla; and his beloved son, Michael Webb-Mendralla Jr.
He is survived by his cherished wife, DaShaun Rankins; his siblings, Jessica Mendralla, Amanda Mendralla, and Scott Mendralla II; and his children, Tay'Zhawn Toran, Marques Beeman, A'Kierah Mendralla, A'Livia Mendralla, Ky'Marre Simmons, Anthony Mendralla, Micah Mendralla, and Andrew Mendralla; and four stepchildren, Jaydn, Morgan, Kahleb, and Riley.
He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Nylah Toran, Ma'Lonii Mendralla, and Teyana Toran.
Michael leaves behind his loving aunts and uncles: Jennifer Jones (Ben), Rebecca Webb, Caryn Webb (Damon), Christopher Webb (Stephanie), and Thomas Webb. He is also survived by several lifelong friends, including Toya Bonner, the mother of his adult children, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly.
Michael was a general contractor and carpenter for over 20 years. His most recent employer was Young's Cedar Log Cabins. He was known for his ability to fix just about anything. He loved being outdoors-especially camping and fishing.
Above all, Michael loved his family. He had an unforgettable smile that could light up any room and a personality that drew people in. He had a true love for life and a sarcastic, playful sense of humor that kept those around him laughing. He will be remembered for his warmth, his strength, and the way he made people feel seen, welcomed, and loved.
Michael overcame many challenges throughout his life and was known for his resilience and strength.
Michael's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc., 602 W. 10th St. The service will follow the viewing. The burial will be after the service at the Erie Cemetery.
