Michael Craig Leopold

Michael Craig Leopold, age 59, passed away on Friday November 15, 2024, at Suncoast Hospice in Tampa, Florida.

He was born on February 10, 1965, in Erie, PA, the son of the late Donald and Sonya Long Leopold.

After graduating Fairview High School, he earned an associate’s degree in accounting and moved to Los Angeles where he worked at the LA Zoo. He then moved to Tampa, Florida and worked for the USPS and Pitney Bowes. He enjoyed bowling, softball, tennis and collecting baseball cards. Mike was an avid Montreal Expos fan and continued to follow them when they relocated to become the Wasthington Nationals.

He is survived by his sister, Chris Koszegi and her husband Kevin of Erie, PA; two brothers, Dan Leopold of Erie, PA and Jeff Leopold and his wife Michelle of Westley Chapel, FL; three nephews, three nieces; two grand nephews and many cousins.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard, PA on Saturday May 3, 2025, from 1:00pm until the time of service at 2:00pm with Rev. Charles Cammarata officiating. Burial at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
