Maurice A. Johnson

Maurice A. Johnson, age 52, of Erie, passed away on July 7, 2023 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Erie, PA on January 24, 1971, a son of Joseph Gates and Brenda Johnson.

Maurice worked in the food service industry for several years. He loved music and was known as “DJ Mar”.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Johnson and Demerrius Johnson and by his grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Johnson; his father, Joseph Gates and several aunts and uncles.
