Mary Lou Reslink Patton Neithamer, age 83, passed away on May 30, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Mary Lou was born on October 20, 1941, in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to her family, her faith, and her community. She graduated from Strong Vincent High School and Grove City College, where she was a member of the Ketler Society for those that exemplify a passion and commitment to Christian liberal arts education. Mary Lou embarked on a successful career as a legal secretary at several law firms, including Agresti & Agresti, Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett, and MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton. Mary Lou was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant for her entire life. She served in numerous capacities, including Elder, Trustee, Deacon, and as a dedicated member of the bereavement committee. Her commitment to service extended to the Sarah Reed Retirement Center and Sarah Reed Children’s Center, where she served on the board for over 18 years, often acting as secretary. She was also an active member of Koinonia and PEO Chapter X, where she once served as president. Mary Lou’s spirit of generosity was evident in her volunteer work at the church's homeless mission and the Hamot Aid Society. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, and traveling the world with her beloved husband, Cal.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold G. and Elizabeth Shelpler Reslink and her husband Cal Neithamer. Mary Lou leaves behind a loving family, including her children: Douglas (Shannon) Patton of Erie, Curtis (Diane) Patton of Bothell, WA, and Jennifer (Roger) Koebe of Erie. She was a cherished grandmother to Alex (Shelby) Patton, Maggie (Konner) Means, Meghan, Michael (Hailey), Craig and Ceara Patton, and Caitlin and Anna Koebe; her great-grandchildren, Reagan and Reid Patton; her brother Paul (Virginia) Reslink, niece Joanna (John) Bahr, and great nephews: Alexander and Sebastian. She is further survived by the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Cal Neithamer.
Friends are invited to call on the family on Friday, June 6th from 3pm to 5pm at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc., Downtown, 602 West 10th St. and on Saturday, June 7th from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 12pm at First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 250 West 7th St., 16501. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
